It might seem early (especially for me, I’m a mid-December decorations gal) but Christmas will come up very fast! The decorations and gifts are already appearing in the shops and with them the exciting range of advent calendars. Advent calendars have become a BIG thing in the past few years. They’re not just for kids anymore and if you can think of a niche it’s probably got an advent calendar now. Of course that’s good news for us stationery addicts. Enter the stationery advent calendar! The perfect way to get excited about Christmas!
I’ve already given a shout out to the small independent brands creating their amazing stationery advent calendars on Etsy but in this blog post I’m talking about the big brands and their stationery advent calendar offerings.

First up is one of the more expensive luxury options by Martha Brook. I went to their Stationery Social last month which was a lot of lovely pink fun. The price tag on this one is pretty high but the quality looks beautiful. Think botanical, gold, deep green and delicate pink. I’ve had a look at the contents and it all seems to be good value to me. You can get it from Not on the High Street here for £99.
Next up at a slightly more reasonable price tag is Paperchase’s 24 Days of Stationery Joy. Everyone loves Paperchase and in this fun advent calendar you get 24 days of their fab stationery including pens, notebooks and a voucher! Perfect for the January sales. Get it here for £35 from Paperchase online.
This one is for the fountain pen heads. You can get this gorgeous ‘Inkvent’ calendar by Diamine available at Cult Pens. You get 24 7ml bottles of ink and a 30ml bottle on Christmas day! All of the inks are new and have festive themed names. Many of them are shimmer inks which is perfect for the festive season. The calendar is priced at £67 and is perfect for any fountain pen newbies to build up a beautiful collection of inks! Get it here from Cult Pens.
The first advent calendar on this list for kids! Kids are obsessed with Smiggle. I mean why not start them young with their stationery obsessions? Well this Smiggle Advent Calendar is perfect for just that. And a great choice if you want to steer the kids away from chocolate? Get it from Amazon for £36.50.
This year Kikki.K has not one but TWO stationery advent calendars on offer! The first is super cute and is definitely one of my favourites on the list. The poppy red eraser advent calendar is shaped like a gorgeous little nordic house and has 25 little boxes to open with a new eraser and a quote to prompt gratitude every day! It’s absolutely gorgeous and really reasonably priced at £18. One of the cheaper (but in my opinion the cutest) advent calendars that still offers great quality. Get it here.
Finally Kikki.K’s second and bigger offering the stationery lovers advent calendar 2019. This years calendar is a gorgeous soft pink and rose gold and there are 25 exclusive kikki.k stationery treats for you to open every day in December. The calendar is on the more expensive side of £90 but for 25 exclusive products it’s still great value for Kikki.K! Get it here.
