The best quote ever from the wonderful @dwaalmaker The best quote ever from the wonderful @dwaalmaker 😂🙌🏼 for more absolute gems make sure you listen to the latest episode of the Creative Productive Podcast 🎙

Do you ever worry what people will think if you’re not in a typical position that others see as ‘traditionally successful’? It can feel really uncomfortable to break away from those norms and find your own version of ‘success’ - I definitely struggled with that feeling for a few years before I decided I was pretty happy flitting jobs and trying out things to start a business that was going to be rewarding, fulfilling and most importantly FUN!

If there were no expectations on you - what would you be doing to make your own version of success? ✨
Did you know I have a series of blog posts where I Did you know I have a series of blog posts where I invite different journaling enthusiasts in all their different forms to tell us more about how they found their passion for their own unique styles of journaling! Well I do and it’s called #JournalingJourneys 📖

Today I published the eighth post in the series which was an interview with creative scrapbook journalist extraordinaire Daisy aka @mygreencow 💚

Daisy is an absolute crafting QUEEN and her scrapbook style journals are so gorgeous to look at and so unique I knew I had to get her in the series to tell us more about how she got started, how her journaling has developed and some of her tips to help you get started with this style of journaling too! 🎉

If you want to have a go at scrapbook style journaling or learn more about Daisy’s journey head over to the blog to have a read - and make sure you have a look at the other 7 posts in the series if you haven’t already! Link in bio ☝🏼

Thanks so much Daisy for getting involved! 🥰
Oh yess we’re back baby with an absolutely wonde Oh yess we’re back baby with an absolutely wonderful podcast interview with Laura aka @dwaalmaker 🌝

I absolutely loved recording this episode with Laura - we first met last year in the self belief sessions by @elizabethstilesuk and @sophiefrench and after I was ballsy enough to send her an out of the blue insta DM teling her I loved her feed we’ve become firm friends! It wasn’t until the recording of this episode though that we realised how much we had to talk about! It turns out at least 45 minutes of stuff!
So today’s episode is a hefty one but we cover so many amazing topics such as:
- finding your creative community
- your love hate relationship with your craft
- dealing with the pressure of finding the thing you want to do
- defining your own idea of ‘success’
- figuring out how to be productive in your own way
and loads more! 🤩

This is an episode that will go best with a nice cuppa or even better via headphones during a lovely solo winter walk!
Let me know what you think of the episode! Link in my bio! ☝🏼
Have you figured out a planning/accountability met Have you figured out a planning/accountability method for 2021 yet? Or is it still a work in progress? 🤔

Something that’s come up recently for me and a few others is how 2021 has been a bit of a false start and even though none of us truly expected the clock to strike midnight and the pandemic to disappear going back into a full blown lockdown does certainly feel a bit ‘groundhog day’ 😳

But you know what - where was the memo that said we had to have everything ready and together for the first of January? Or even January as a whole? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Give yourselves permission to keep experimenting and giving yourself time to figure out how you’re going to plan and tackle your year!

Myself I’m still spending a lot of time doing the work to figure out how I’m going to make 2021 a wonderful year and my planning method is going to be a big part of it so there’s no way I’m rushing anything ✋🏼

Join me for a chatty Tuesday Instagram live next week where I’ll be showing you my planning method so far for 2021 - my bullet journal that I’ve been adapting and experimenting with to make sure it’s going to keep me on track with my 2021 goals and intentions! ✨
I was totally planning on writing a really positiv I was totally planning on writing a really positive post all about how much I’m looking forwards to the new year - 2021 - surely better than 2020 right? 🙃

but… we’re basically all back in lockdown so that feels a bit out of touch right now! All I can do is remain hopeful that we’ll get there (back to some form of normality) sometime soon!

Good news is there’s a lot of 2021 left and a lot of time for things to turn around! #stayaspositiveasyoupossiblycan 🙌🏼

Something I’ve mentioned a lot on my account the Something I’ve mentioned a lot on my account the past few days is this Yoga with Adriene Breath 30 day yoga challenge which I’ve been pushing a LOT! So I’m going to talk about it even more in an Instagram live chat on Tuesday morning at 9am! Check my stories for a countdown timer so you can remind yourself! ⏱

I started practicing yoga daily over 2 years ago by following @adrienelouise free videos on her YouTube channel. Since then I started attending different classes all over the world from classes where I was told to pretend to be a stalking lion to special handstand classes, starting to trust my yoga brain enough to practice all on my own and listen to what my body needs and even toy with the idea that I could do yoga teacher training one day (not one day soon though!) 🧘🏼‍♀️

Since I got on my mat in October 2017 after a small personal crisis (I’ll talk about this more in the live itself) I’ve committed pretty much daily bar a few small breaks and I feel like it has done me the world of good in terms of my mental health, my relationship with my body, my fitness and my patience with myself and others. Yoga is a really personal journey to everyone but I hope that by sharing my journey I’ll inspire you to undertake your own 💫

If you have any questions about practicing yoga or the Breath Challenge feel free to drop me a comment and make sure to join me on Tuesday at 9am right here where I’ll be going all in on my yoga journey, how it started, how I’ve carried on with it and my hope for my yoga future! 🧘🏼‍♀️
