Here is another post about our new favourite obsession, stationery subscription boxes! Our first post was all about Boho Berry’s February box. Here we talk all about the Papergang box!
About the Box
Papergang has been created by Ohh Deer a UK based company specialising in quirky illustrated gifts and stationery. The monthly box includes exclusive stationery and desk accessories designed by collaborating with designers. In addition to that for every 4 boxes they send out Papergang will plant a tree!
Price & Deals
The stationery box is one of the best priced subscription boxes, particularly for UK customers. The box itself is priced at £10.95. Shipping for UK customers is £2.95. For other countries shipping goes up to £5.95. This means that the box will always cost under £20! Definitely one of the best priced boxes in the subscription box industry.
You can also save some money by using a prepaid plan for 3, 6 or 12 months.
Contents & Style
I’ve so far received the January and February boxes which have contained some of the following items:
- a quote pencil
- weekly desk planner
- a ruler
- greetings cards
- stickers (included in both boxes)
- an enamel pin
What I really like is that each box has a theme and is designed by an illustrator. The January box theme was ‘Palm Springs’ designed by Jacqueline Colley. It was an awesome quirky theme with tiny doodles of Cadillacs, cacti and dinosaurs in gorgeous pastel colours. February was ‘neon’ themed and was based on bullet journaling. After how amazing January’s box was I can’t deny I was a little disappointed with February. The theme of neon could have been done a lot better. Some of the products were a bit random and didn’t have much to do with the theme of bullet journalling.
Papergang states that boxes will always contain items of at least £25 worth. They also include a booklet which, as well as a designer interview, includes the RRP of each item.
March’s box looks incredibly promising with their first tube style box! They’ve gone back to having a designer with Peskimo and the box will feauture cat naps, foxes and groovy trees. I’m super excited to see what will arrive.
Is the box worth it?
Personally I feel like these boxes are amazing value for money. I don’t always like they way they include the RRP in the box booklet as I don’t always feel that I would pay the price they list, but I do still feel that it’s always worth what I pay. The boxes are varied which I feel justifies a monthly subscription and it’s so much fun getting excited about their arrival! The ‘your box is on it’s way’ email always brightens my day.
