Paperchase have recently released an awesome new collection: Fierce Female. How wonderful is it that two of my favourite things are combined: feminism and beautiful stationery! I just had to do a little overview of this collection of feminist stationery.
The collection isn’t huge with most of the range concentrated on slogan notebooks and cards with a few accessory pieces thrown in for good measure. Personally I’d like to see a bigger and more cohesive collection. It’s unclear whether the collection has been thrown together under a section or designed cohesively. Although it could be argued that the variety of styles caters to a lot of different tastes. We are all different fierce females after all!
The notebooks are the core of this collection. With most of them you are able to add personalisation which makes them a great gift for the fierce ladies in your life. I like that the notebooks are all quite different in style which means that the collection caters for a wide range of tastes.
My personal favourite is the Woman with Attitude pink notebook that can be personalised for £16. Or if you don’t want to spend so much you can go for a non-personalised notebook for half the price of £8, such as the ‘Fierce’ Red notebook.
The cards, with the notebooks, make up the core of the collection. They have a good collection of sassy cards perfect for #girlboss wins and general girl power messages. They also have some postcards featuring female icons including Grace Jones and Twiggy.
There are a couple of other stationery items in the collection although I feel that they could have done a bit more with this. The collection only includes a #feminist pen (only £2) and a weekly desk planner entitled ‘A week in the life of a fierce female’. Although I also found an equally feminist set of slogan pencils for £5 that I felt should have been included in the range. My favourite items are the pens and pencils. These items will never not be useful and it’s great to be able to express yourself with something that you’re going to be using on a daily basis.
Homeware and Gifts
As usual Paperchase includes a few homeware and gift items in the collection. This includes mugs, tote bags and phone cases. My favourites are the mugs available with either ‘Fierce’ or ‘#feminist‘ on cute pastel colours both £10, and the #feminist cotton shopper bag also for £10.
What do you think of the range?
